Inspired by the movie, this class teaches you how to turn simple reeds into a true masterpiece of structural integrity and soulful charm. Technically we'll be making baskets using the core of the rattan palm plant, a tropical vine that grows 200 to 600 feet across the jungle floor. Perfect for a new husband basket.
We'll begin with lashing our spokes, which create the ribs or framework for our vessels, and then use weaver reeds to make patterns.
